SHREWD - #1 MUZZLE BRAKE 22 CALIBER

These muzzle breaks work and really reduce recoil and look good too.

These Shrewd Brakes are excellent. They are beautifully made and work very well. They require boring out to a final caliber 0.020" larger than the bore diameter. That means that they are much more effective than brakes that don't require opening up. My customers rate the recoil reduction at around 50%, and I would not argue with that. I have used them for years and have only had one issue. I got a Chrome Moly brake that was Stainless Steel! It came out of the blue bath looking just as it did going in! Fortunately, I use enough of these brakes that I had no problem reusing it on another job. I use a collet chuck on my lathe to hold the brake for boring, and I use the lathe taper attachment to taper the O.D. to the barrel diameter to make it look better on the gun.

HAD THIS BRAKE ONLY HAD 1 RIFLE TO INSTALL IT ON A BULL BRARRELED RME 700 22-250 YEAH THE CALIBER WASNT A ERROR THE FITTING WELL LETS SAY YOU CANT EVEN TELL ITS NOT PART OF THE BARREL WITH A H&S PRECISION STOCK TRIGGER WORK THIS GUN LIKES ANUONE THAT FIRES IT AT 100 YARDS THERE HAS BEEN ATLEAST THREE SHOOTERS HAVE SHOT 6 ROUNDS ALL THE SHOTS WHERE TOUCHING EACH OTHER DEAD CENTER I AN WORKING ON 200 $ 300 YARD SHOOTING NOW CAUSE 100 HAS GOT BORING NOT SAYING THAT THE BRAKE MADE THE RIFLE THAT ACCURATE BUT IT DIDNT SHOOT THAT WELL BEFORE FOR ANYONE INTERESTED ID STOPPING RECOIL THIS IS THE ONE TO BUY

I put this brake on a .300 Remington Ultra Mag. Before the brake it had split my nose bad enough to require stitches. After the brake was installed it is like shooting a .308. This brake reduces recoil better than the much more expensive brake that is on my .338 Win Mag. I highly recommend it.

I installed this brake on my 300 win mag, the rifle with scope only tipped the scale at 8.25 pounds. After 10 shots I didnt want anything to do with the rifle. I installed a Limbsaver recoil pad, and this muzzle brake. I made a shot at 300 yards and watched the bullet impact the doe last year, it is well worth getting if you would like to save yourself from the punishment... I would say the recoil is a little bit more than a .243, but not by much. My wife is 5'11" and 130 LBS. She shoots the win mag without any problems... But, I am not a small guy, 6'5" 230 LBS. This brake worked for me, I am buying another one for my Weatherby VAnguard Deluxe .270 win. Money well spent! The brake and coat of KG gun coat, really make the rifle look sharp. Down Side - DONT FORGET YOUR EAR PLUGS!!!!!!!
