Works with 1895 Trapper Marlin (Ruger)
A bit of a pain to install mostly due to either lack of tools or more so trouble getting the gun apart. Was a pain getting the magazine tube to come loose but after that it was pretty easy. The instructions were a bit hard to follow with just text and no pictures, but not too hard. There are also a few youtube videos that explain the installation pretty well. I was worried that it wouldn't fit the Trapper and have seen others saying they just needed to grind a bit to make it fit with the front sight installed. That may have been the older version of this rail because mine fit perfectly with the front sight installed. This handguard and the Chisel Machining aluminum stock with Hoptic Longbow go great together.

I like Midwest Industries
I really like Midwest, but i gave it 4 stars because it seems like it angles slightly down. It appears that the screws that hold the front of the rail to the rifle were drilled just slightly too high on my rail, probably by a few thousandths. It's not that noticeable. I tried a few things to level it out, but it went back to being slightly off after some handling. Otherwise, it's lightweight and looks great. I paired it with Magpul's stock for my 1895 SBL.
