Galil Ace MI Handguard
Midwest Industries did a great job on this rail for the Galil Ace. I highly recommend it. Easy install. Great look and feel. Quality, lightweight product. Looking for the longer one now for my buddies Galil Ace. If the handguard on the Ace bugs you at all - this is your solution.

Light weight and slim!
Light weight and easy to install. Has built in QD points in several spots on the handguard. according to my scale it came in at just 6.3 ounces. Much more slim in design than the original handguard that comes installed. And much more affordable than other handguard options out there as well.

Requires major fitting for 5.45x39 Galil
This handguard is designed for the 7.62x39 version of the Galil ACE rifle. I had to have my friend fabricate a spacer in order to get the handguard to align correctly with the included screws. No doubt because the barrel profile is too thin, as my Galil ACE rifle is chambered in 5.45x39. After fabricating a spacer (we just eyeballed the thickness, no data to provide) the rest of the handguard assembled quickly and easily. Holds firm. Added locktite and shot 300 rounds with no issues.

New Galil Ace 7.62 owners beware
Bought this for a brand new 7.62x39 Galil Ace rifle, and the middle screw does not work with new Galils. The screw needs full threading, as the the new Galils have threaded fasteners on the stock handguard. The screw needed is 10x32 and 1 3/8 with full threads. Good luck finding one, I had to give up. Can't even find one on the internet. I emailed Midwest Industries to find out if they can sell me the correct screws needed, as they do not have seperate hardware listed on the site for this new problem. Hopefully they can help, because the correct screw to fix this problem, has so far been absolutely impossible to find. Don't order this model for any new 7.62x39 Galil without contacting Midwest Industries first. You will not be able to use the handguard.
