POWER CUSTOM - 10/22 Competition Bolt Handle

This part dropped right in, with no fitting. The retainer pin is only for ease of assembly (I never use it), and is not intended to stay in the gun. The knob is pretty heavy, but my rifle cycles just fine with it, even with standard velocity ammunition.

Installed this on a 10/22 I put together for my father in law. He suffers from arthritis, this product makes it much easier and more comfortable to operate. The handle is made from solid stainless steel, and comes a dull gray color. I did modify it by drilling the handle out to reduce weight and then polished it to match the bolt. This one has been 100% reliable in this firearm. Many of the negative reviews sound like they were install incorrectly. The small pin holding the assembly together in the package must be removed for the rifle to function properly.

I've used this product in two different 10/22's, a carbine with factory black stock and the factory target rifle with Clark Custom trigger group in factory aluminum housing ---- I tried other brands and didn't like them due to scope interference, binding, uncomfortable handles, and so on. This unit has a comfortable handle & fits well ---- Aldes from Canada is correct about the colour, the handle is a grayish/matte silver type colour -- easy solution: I took the handles from my pair along with a pair of PC titanium mag release's to a local gunsmith & had them gunkoted / cerakoted flat black, problem solved ---- Mine worked well for the brief time I got use them before the rifles were stolen ---- I'll be getting another set for the Mannlicher stocked 10/22's recently purchased.

Put a low profile scope on my 10/22 Takedown which made the stock charging handle difficult to use. This handle is exactly what I was wanting. The install was easy (with help from youtube video). Have not shot it yet with the new handle but from looks and physical functionality it is perfect.

You can't find a heavier duty charging handle for the 10/22 or Ruger Charger. I used it on 3 separate firearms, and it works perfectly and looks great. I notice some reviewers forget to pull out the shipping retainer pin, and then state that the rod is too short. That pin must be pulled out before installing...then it's good to go!
