What is the VOLQUARTSEN - Exact Edge Extractor?

Machined with exacting tolerances; hook is .005" closer to rim to give a positive, non-slip grip on the case head. The very precise hook point is hardened to Rc 58-60, will not lose its edge, even after years of use.


SPECS: A-2 tool steel, in-the-white. Fits Ruger MKII, MKIII, MKIV and 22/45 pistols; 10/22® and 10/22® magnum.

Yup, it worked
My son had trouble with the custom 10-22 I built him. Fail to ejects like you wouldn't believe. I tore into it only to find a damaged extractor claw. Bought a pair of Exact Edge Extractor by VOLQUARTSEN and installed one in his rifle. Range test, one fail to feed, zero fail to extract out of 200 rounds.

Good product
I purchased two of these to upgrade older 10/22s. This is clearly a better made part than the factory original. It is sharper and better machined. It definitely grabs the case better than the original part did, even with my recut extractor groove in the barrel. This is probably the first part I will put in every 10/22 I work on.
