10/22 Bundle, barrel and trigger.
I was looking to replace my 10/22 pencil barrel, shot fine, but those bull barrels look so nice.
The research paralysis was setting in. I kept coming back to the Brownells kit. Price point was great, the Shaw barrel gets great reviews everywhere, and the BX trigger. Sold!
Delivery was perfect, no issues.
To go with the barrel I had to get a stock due to the bull barrel, I went Magpul MOE X-22.
Install time. The pencil barrel was tight. I used the slingshot of the bolt to loosen it, and out it came (Brownells video tip). The new barrel, went in easy, for the first half, then wouldn’t budge. Ugh. A light tap tap tap, set it, but off center, ugh. Thick layer of painters tape and 3/4 wrench squared it up.
The V block secured it. Bull barrels are heavy, no surprise there.
The BX trigger, plug and play. Easy.
Range time. All went well, whew. Ya never know. The trigger is much lighter than the OG, surprisingly, didn’t know what to expect. It’s very nice, pleased I went with the bundle.
I fired Aguila, and Winchester. The benz chamber concerned me, the feed and ejection went well.
Pleased with all of it. I’d do it again, and recommend the kit.
