What is the FAXON FIREARMS - Rimfire 22LR 16" 1-16 Straight Flute Taperd Contour BBL Ntrd?

As with all Faxon® Barrels, the "Faxon Rimfire®" line is made in-house at their Cincinnati facility from raw bar stock, and undergo the same rigorous testing and quality control measures that have made Faxon's AR and pistol barrels a market favorite. These barrels are made from 416-R stainless steel, given 6 Groove Rifling at a 1:16 twist, and a Recessed Target Crown. Barrels are Magnetic Particle Inspected, and are finished in Salt Bath Nitride


To give these Faxon Rimfire® barrels their unique touch, they have adapted 3 of their most popular barrel profiles from the AR platform to rimfire: Pencil, Straight Fluted, and Faxon's patented Flame Fluted profile. Faxon Rimfire® barrels offer weight-savings to typical factory barrels for 10/22®.

Fantastic barrel
Fantastic barrel very accurate, keep in mind if buying a muzzle device the end closest to the muzzle is bout .750 (3/4 inch). It is threaded in 1/2-28, which is one of the most common, but it seems like it is on the low side of the tolerance.

Excellent barrel to level up my 10/22
I bought this to replace my stock barrel and couldn't be happier. Just a few tips if you go this route, the original barrel was tight and I had to put the receiver in the freezer for a little while. Pulled it out and then lightly heated the receiver and used a 3/4 wrench to break it free using the notch. After that I was able to work it out. The new barrel needed the same freezer treatment to get it in. Fit is tight but perfect. Highly recommend
