Scales are grippy and one way.
Not some high speed user here, but I have used most AR mags that are out there. These seem like great mags, I have used them for about a year, and they are holding up fine to being dropped, tossed and generally used. My three pack came with an alternate floor plate T grip deal. I really like that feature, I like ranger plates also and its a similar concept though simpler. If you are a beer can gripper and like to insert that way, these fish scales are not working with you on the insertion, but I find I can reliably insert that way without much or any fuss. I load 28 in mine so I can limp wrist it all day with no failed insertions (I'm not into the Hollywood tap, I prefer the: insert, (confidence instilling) tug and pingpong palming.
