This product makes loading the 10/22 magazines very simple with their added length. This is the second set I have purchased and it is a gift for a family member.

While this is a great idea that could be a game changer it is severely flawed and poorly designed. I was only able to use it twice before it came apart in my hand while removing a magazine from my kids 10/22. The problem is that it really doesn't properly secure to the magazine body. It attaches with a few small fine threaded screws and the two halfs click together. But when you pull on the bumper to remove the magazine the bumper came off in my hand and the magazine stayed in place in the rifle. I ended up using a uv cured polymer adhesive to repair the bumper. The screws fine threads just stripped out and came appart. I was lucky that I was able to find the screws since I was at the range. Thankfully they replaced the old wood benches with cement ones so they were sitting on the table top. I just bagged up the parts and started the autopsy when I got home. I was skeptical about the design when I started to install the bumpers and should have just returned the item. But I didn't. The solution that I used was to use a UV cured polymer adhesive thats safe for plastics that I had laying around on my work bench. I started by following the directions and reinstalled the bumper parts but I would put a bead of adhesive on the contact surfaces of the base piece and the mag body. Then I used a safety pin to get the adhesive inside the screw holes and reinstalled the screws. Then I reinstalled the bumper with adhesive on the contact surfaces between the bumper and the base plate and cured the adhesive to the magazine body screw holes and the bumper. So far it has worked well and I have run around 250 rounds through the magazines after the fix but its a permanent fix since the bumper is glued to the magazine body. So I doubt that it will come loose till the adhesive fails. Would I purchase this again? Not a chance unless it is totally redesigned and overhauled. Since this product has a rushed to market feel. I definitely would not recommend it to anyone. Not even an enemy because it is just that bad of a design and product. It was definitely a great idea of a product that could be a much needed game changer because of the fact that the 10/22 magazines have a reputation for being a real pain in the neck to remove at times. So this could have been a hot item but is more of a trainwreck of a design. Hopefully this will be properly redesigned and actually connects to the magazine body in a better way than using the screws that strip out easily. I really hate to leave a negative review of a product but I also know that the only way that a company can fix a flawed product is to let them know with a negative review. That way they have the opportunity to fix the problem and or redesign a product that is severely flawed and not able to be fixed with a part replacement. Or another easy solution. But it is what it is.
