What is the ED BROWN - Screw-On Bumper Pads, 6-pak?

Replace a nicked or scuffed pad to present a neat appearance when magazine is seated in the gun. Original pad that comes on Ed’s 7-round magazines increases overall magazine length for positive seating, protects the magazine from damage, and makes inserting mag easier. .525" c-to-c hole spacing; includes two, 4-40, self-tapping screws per pad.


SPECS: Polymer, black. Fits Ed Brown 7-round magazines. Includes 6 pads and 12 screws.

Exactly what was needed.
Kept pinching my palm while loading 1911 magazines, these bumpers added enought material to prevent that and seat magazines firmly. If they made a bumper that didn't have an angled front, that would be great too. Just a flat surface.

1911 Magazine Bumper
The added base for my Colt Gold Cup magazine made it much easier to change the magazine while shooting. It worked exactly as advertised, was easy to install and was received in a timely manner.

Ed Brown 1911 bumper pads
I just purchased my first pack and only installed one on a Kimber 7-round 45 magazine. Installation couldnt be easier, the screws worked just fine. The screws should be a softer metal than the magazine screw holes so you dont strip the screw holes on the magazine. Dont over tighten the screws and use the right screwdriver and you should be fine. They dont fit this magazine perfect but thats because of the magazine design not the bumper pad. The pad overhangs the front of the base plate creating a lip. I compared them to other bumper pads and they are the same size. I ordered some new magazines and plan on using these bumper pads when the magazines arrive. Brownells price was excellent and shipping was fast. I wouldnt hesitate to order more if I needed them.
