What is the PRO MAG - SMITH & WESSON SHIELD STEEL MAGAZINES?

One of the most popular single-stack nines on the market, the Smith & Wesson Shield is only limited by its small magazine capacity, and these aftermarket steel magazines make up for that shortcoming with several different capacity options. Now, M&P Shield owners can train more and carry with increased confidence. The Smith & Wesson M&P Shield steel magazine is designed for use with 9mm models only and have a magazine body made from heat-treated carbon steel. The magazine is treated with a black-oxide finish that combats corrosion and premature wear. Inside each Smith & Wesson M&P Shield steel magazine, you'll find a spring formed from heat-treated chrome-silicon wire, as well as an injection-molded follower. The magazines are available with a 8-round, 9-round and a 10-round capacity and are made in the USA.

One worked fine one didnt
I bought two 8 round magazines and one feeds as it should the other would not feed the last round. It would lock the slide every time there was one round left. It will feed if I rack it again but it is very annoying

10 Rounds?
While the construction seems quite good and the spacer comes with the magazine, it will take a better man than I to get 10 rounds into this mag. I had to quit at 9 and even that took some real effort. So if I could get the 10 rounds in it, I would give it 5 stars but with only 9, 3 stars.

33% failure rate! 1 of 3 DOA !!!!
I ordered 3. One was DOA! I called ProMag they said they would replace it under warranty- but I had to ship the Dead Mag back on my dime $$$. So, a $23.00 Mag just became a $32.00 Mag. I'm not getting the warm and fuzzy that these aren't going to fail at the wrong time. Quality control could be an issue with these.... I won't bet my life on these Mags. Moved to the back of the box!

S&W shield 9mm 10 Rd Pro Mag Magazine
The magazines are not build to the correct tolerances , too large in the body making them difficult to install and remove from the firearm . I have damaged one trying to make it fit and now is garbage . The other , well by the time pay I freight both ways , it's going to become a dust bunny .

Defective Mags - Out of Spec vs. S&W
Bought two mags. They seem well constructed, but they are not. One doesn't drop free - SW factory mag is 0.6535 inches - Promag is 0.6575 inches. The other one doesn't lock the slide back when it's empty - weak spring? The stamped numbers are very lightly stamped. Returning both.
