The first thing I did with these magazines was take them to the range and put a couple hundred rounds of ammo from several different manufacturers through them. They performed flawlessly.

they work with my speed loader and they hold ten compared to the nine rounders that came with my Mark 1. There's no such thing as too many magazines anyway.

Perfect fit and perfect function. Never had a problem with Mec Gar pistol magazines.

I took a pair of these straight to the range without cleaning them, and they were dragging and malfunctioning. I expected that. However, they functioned well enough that I’m sure they will be fine following a good cleaning and break in. I subsequently disassembled them, cleaned and sparingly lubed them. During cleaning, I also cleaned my Factory Original Magazines, and compared the parts. The most glaring difference is the spring guide on these is plastic, whereas the factory magazines have a steel (stainless ?) spring guide. The guide I’m referring to sits in the bottom of the spring, and fits into the base plate. I also noticed that the button attached to the follower is a different design, and the follower and base plate are slightly different. The spring is also different. I said all that to say this: they are not identical to factory magazines, despite what is commonly reported. These magazines also seem just a bit rough on the edges, but hopefully everything will wear in. I really didn’t need more magazines, and I purchased these out of curiosity. I won’t buy anymore of these, and I’ll buy factory mags if for some reason I need to replace my current assortment. Again, these aren’t bad, but they’re certainly not “just as good” as factory.
