What is the APEX TACTICAL SPECIALTIES INC. - 2-Dot Fully Machined Sear for M&P .45/M&P M2.0/Shield?

Apex Tactical’s Fully Machined Sear for the Smith & Wesson M&P series has a different geometry from the factory part that dramatically reduces trigger pull weight to less than 5 lbs., while it also shortens overtravel and improves reset speed. The end result is much better trigger feel overall. Use the Fully Machined M&P Sear as a standalone upgrade or in conjunction with an Apex spring kit and Ultimate Striker Block (both sold separately). The Apex Fully Machined Sear is available in two models: 1-Dot fits all current-production M&P pistols in 9mm, .357 SIG and .40 S&W. Does not fit M&P45 or Shield models. 2-Dot fits current-production M&P pistols in .45 ACP, M&P M2.0 in 9mm and .40 S&W, and ALL M&P Shields (9mm/.40 S&W/.45 ACP). With both models, the benefits will be the same:

  • Reduces pull weight to sub 5 lbs. (exact weight varies from gun to gun
  • Shorter overtravel
  • Faster reset

Great Product
This sear brought my 2.0 compact down to a 4.5 pound trigger pull without having to change any springs that might reduce reliable ignition. It improved take up slightly, but I don't mind that on a carry gun. Definitely worth a try if you want a better trigger with no loss of reliability.

Just what I wanted.
I was not looking for a crazy light trigger, wanted it to be in the 4lb-4.5lb range. The simple installation of this sear in my 2.0 9mm was exactly what I was looking for, It cleaned up the trigger reset as well. I polished up the striker block with some 1000 grit paper while I was at it. Really enjoy this on range day now.

High Quality Machined Sear
Much improved sear profile than stock. Removes the worry of stoning thru the hardness of the factory part to acheive a better trigger let off. Was still an improvement over the factory sear in my Pro Series CORE

awesome upgrade
Together with the ultimate striker safety, totally changed the gun! Ive been a Glock shooter mostly. That has changed now. Glock is now in the back of the safe and my M&Ps see all the shooting!

Must Have Part for the M&P 2.0!!!
I have 2 M&P 2.0's and this is a must have part!!! The M&P 2.0 is a really nice gun and changing to this Sear makes it a lot better! The reset is unbelievable!!!
