love it
i have a rock island 1911 a1 gi compact in 45 acp. i got this to go with my WILSON COMBAT - 1911 BULLET PROOF TITANIUM FIRING PIN 965-000-176WB. this spring is just what i needed to counter the pin jumping around in recoil and droping the pin block. The stock pin was to light i think. with this spring and the new lighter firing pin i belive it fix my proplem and it was just so easy to install just pull out the old spring and install the new one no gunsmith needed.

Citori Ejector to Extractor mod
I used a pair of these springs to change my Browning Citori 525 Field from ejectors to extractors. I swapped out the stock ejector springs with these and it worked perfectly. You could cut off a few coils if you want the shells to not come out of the chamber as much but it's not necessary. To get the stock springs out, take the ejection mechanism out of the fore end and just push the ejector hammer towards the spring and make sure the spring doesn't go flying. Install in reverse.

1st item replaced in all new 1911's
This is the very 1st item I replace on new 1911's and always recommend to customers when they're having any work done on their 1911. $ for $, an xtra power FS, is the cheapest 'insurance' for series 70's.

This is the One
If you change to a lighter main spring (aka hammer spring) on a 1911, for instance, to achieve a lighter trigger press or as a component of same....YOU MUST INSTALL AN EXTRA POWER FIRING PIN RETURN SPRING. It's easy to do on a series-70 but often overlooked. Simple insurance to keep that firing pin from flopping all over the place and avoid light strikes on your primer. I only use Wilson, it's simply the best, and I've never been let down.

Firing Pin Return Spring
I used this to make my Browning Citori XS Special into extractors instead of ejectors. Worked great had to cut a couple of coils off but they worked great.
