What is the MEPROLIGHT - S&W K,L,N Frame Exc Mtn Guns(Adj fact rear & pin-on front)?

Really "shines" when other sights are useless. No switch to turn on, no batteries to wear out. Both front and rear blades have their own green tritium gas light source and provide a green/green , 3-dot sight picture. The front sight is always green for contrast with the rear sight. Unaffected by weather, gun solvents or oils. Used by NATO, U.S., and Israeli armies. Also ideal for law enforcement and others requiring accuracy in low-light conditions. Contains both front and rear sights. Rear sights either replace the original rear entirely or, as on S&W revolvers, a new rear leaf, screw and nut are provided. Front sights either replace the original (1911 Auto); slip over and are pinned to the original blade (most other autos); or replace the factory colored insert (S&W Autos). Factory warranty on TRU-DOT sights to the original purchaser for 12 years.

INstalled on a S&W Model 69
Replaced the stock S&W all black rear and orange ramp front that were impossible to see in low light condition. These are White outline during day light hours and bright green tritium in low light and pitch black. Removal of originals and install of new was relatively easy following the included directions. Fit was perfect, no modification/filing/stoning required. Highly recommend these.

excellent sight set
This is the sight set that S&W should have included on the 329PD and similar adjustable-sight revolvers from the factory. I just installed this set on my own 329PD, which is used as a one-gun, general purpose revolver in rural country. Installation was a relatively easy project for someone with a basic gunsmithing skill set and a modest amount of appropriate tools. Installation instructions are very clear. Tritium is bright enough but not overpowering in darkness, sight picture is crisp in bright light, adjustments are positive, quality is evident. It satisfies every situation that this revolver is called upon to perform; I have nothing bad to say about this product.

A Worthwhile Investment
I having been using and installing these sights for over 20 years and I have yet to have a problem with them. I have a set on a Beretta 92FC that are 20 years old and still glowing.

Meprolight Tru-Dot Day/Night Sights
I've had the Meprolight night sights on my S&W 66 for over 10 years now and they work great. Got them after a neighborhood power failure. While it was an overcast, pitch black, night I drew my weapon and could not see the forward end of the gun at all. I could not tell exactly were the gun was aimed, or if I was holding it at an angle, etc. That's when I decided to get the night sights. They are supposed to last at least 12 years, so I guess I've got at least another two to go. I also put them on my "travel/woods gun," a 4" 57. I'd like to try the Trijicon, but they do not make a set for S&W revolvers. Since everything has gone to semiautomatics I wonder how much longer Meprolight will continue to make these. Hmmmm . . . might need to outfit a couple of other guns while I can.

Almost there.
Excellent quality sights make the gun easier to use night or day. They're big and chunky and coarse, which I like in a defensive handgun. They seem to be of high quality and sturdy construction, and they look great aesthetically, which isn't really a priority for me, but I'll never ever say no to a better looking gun, all things being equal. The one complaint I have is that I was barely able to zero them on my Model 69. The rear sight barely had enough depression to get my point of impact down to a lollipop hold rather than my preferred bisect hold. And that's completely bottomed out.
