WILSON COMBAT - Lo-Profile Safety/De-Cocker for Beretta 92/96

Wilson Combat makes great products. This product will fit the new 92X, but it wont work with the 92X Performace (for obvious reasons). Take your time with install, its pretty simple to do. I had issues with the detent hanging up, I lubed it and it worked flawlessly.

I decided to put one of these on my latest Beretta and I'm very happy with it. I rarely use the safety lever so this keeps everything unobtrusive. WC doesn't include any directions for installing the lever. Their thinking seems to be "If you don't know how to do it, take it to a gunsmith." That's probably a good idea for most people. There are one or two Youtube videos about how to do it, though. Speaking of the installation process, it is pretty straightforward. Just be careful with the springs and detents. It really is a good idea to do it inside a plastic bag so you don't launch anything into outer space like I did. (Thankfully I've installed a few of the G conversion kits over the past few years and had some factory detents in my toolbox)

It took a lot of patience to install this piece, but once that's done, it's worth it. Now, when l overhand rack my M9A1, I don't have to worry about engaging the safety. Definitely a five star product, in my opinion.

Good fit - this is what you want if the stock decocker safety is too much and the G decocker is too large - a good compromise - you cannot engage or disengage by accident - it is too bad they don't make a G deckcocker with the left side only and low profile - but then you could just buy a Sig

i LOVE THIS PART, I made the mistake of buying a 92F, it was the pistol I used in the marine Corps,,,but a Glock 19 is superior in every way. The 92F is like a German Tiger tank,,, over engineered, sensitive to dirt and abuse and full of tight tolerances. The design is masterful in an artistic sense but stupid in practicality. The big defect on the 92F is the slide mounted safety lever....!,, JUST STUPID. But the WILSON COMBAT Lo-Profile Safety/De-Cocker is the best fix for this gun. NO MORE CONSTANTLY CHECKING THE SAFETY TO BE SURE IT'S IN THE FIRE POSITION AND DIDN'T GET MOVED COMING OUT OF THE HOLSTER OR WHEN COCKING THE SLIDE... :) I actually ground off the thumb lever, finished it off on the belt sander and re-blued,,, don't like the safety, I prefer the old school method of returning the hammer back to half cocked to be safe. The Wilson part fits perfect, HIGHLY RECOMMEND...!
