What is the ED BROWN - Government Recoil Spring Plug, Blue?

Made to original specifications for rebuilding existing guns or assembling new guns built to factory Government or Commander configurations. Heat-treated, recoil spring plug resists wear and battering. Checkered recoil spring plug gives a traditional look - just like the Colt factory part.


SPECS: Govt: Steel, blue matte finish. Plug - 1 1/2" (4cm) long, 1/2" (13mm) O.D. Commander: Plug - Steel blue matte finish or Stainless steel, bead blasted silver finish. 1-5/64" (2.7cm) long, 1/2" O.D.

This is as spare recoil spring plug for your 1911 after you've launched it and you can't find it. Concider it as an insurance policy, as having one spare you'll be able to find the lauched one quickly, or if you use it the lauched one will magically turn up when spare is installed. This is for blued guns.
