What is the POWER CUSTOM - Blackhawk Free Spin Pawl?

Redesigned pawl enables faster and easier loading/unloading of Ruger single action revolvers. Holds the bolt away from the cylinder locking notches when the loading gate is open, so the cylinder can rotate freely in either direction. No need to spin the cylinder around again if you miss a click and go too far; makes it easier to set an empty chamber under the hammer. Helps competitive shooters improve reload times and scores. Hunters, target shooters, and outdoorsmen will enjoy the added convenience of easier reloading.

SPECS: Steel. Blackhawk fits Ruger new model Blackhawk, Bisley, pre-2005 Vaquero and Super Blackhawk single actions. Vaquero fits the New Vaquero®, with the smaller “XR3” grip frame, introduced in 2005. Single Six (S6) fits small frame Single Six and Bisley. Includes complete, detailed instructions. Gunsmith fitting required.

Useful for a nice addition to a custom Ruger Single Action
Useful part as a custom touch on Ruger revolvers. Allows cylinder to free spin in either direction while loading and unloading. Does require fitting, not a drop in part. Knowledge of the Ruger revolver action is a must. Follow the directions. Expect it to take a couple of trial assemblies to get it perfect.

Makes a great single action better!
I just like pistols to work as well as possible. This free-spin-paul should be a factory install. It is really handy…competition or no. I tolerated the no-reverse cylinder for years. I have installed at least a dozen of these. They weren’t all drop-in. About half needed to be fitted.

Such a small part…such a big difference!
I do miss the “clicks”, but, so worth it for competition. To be able to back up the cylinder is HUGE! Drop in part for me.

Great product
Ive always hated the way the new model Blackhawks work and how hard they are to load and unload. This pawl is wonderful! I installed it in a .45 Blackhawk (large frame). On my gun it was a drop-in fit with no additional gunsmithing needed. Timing with the new pawl was right on - it fit perfectly. It has completely changed my opinion of these revolvers . I rarely do reviews - this product is worth it!

Better design than factory
Just follow the enclosed instructions and this part works great. To make the New Vaquero a true Free-spin the anti-rotation pin needs to be removed. The manufacturer of this part has a great video of this install and mod online.
