GHOST - Extended Slide Release for Glock 42, 43

Nothing unusual here, always quality products from Ghost.

I purchased the Ghost extended slide release in black, SKU 100025711, for my Glock 43x (non-MOS, non-railed). The Glock OEM slide stop is functional, but somewhat thin and not ideal for quick magazine changes. The Ghost SS is a perfect drop-in fit, and it adds that little extra bit of purchase for my thumb for faster mag changes. Works 100% as advertised. I would absolutely recommend this Ghost SS for those who own a Glock 43 or 43x, and would consider purchasing their other products for alternate firearms. Well done. Thanks!

I frequently overlook items like this because I think to myself "is this really necessary?" The short answer is, yes it is. My G43 factory slide release was practically unusable - it bound up so tight when the slide locked back that only "slingshotting" the slide allowed the release to drop. This extended slide release immediately allowed me to release the slide as intended. It is still pretty difficult to press but it does work. I would imagine it will break in more over time.

Its just enough to be able to easily work the slide lock. Stock Glock are such a low profile, which is slick, that having a little extension makes it much easier to lock open.

The back end where it catches the slide needed to be filed a tiny bit. It was too long and the slide was not able to lock back at all with it installed on my 42. It only took a few minutes and now functions as expected.
