This device is designed to "simulate" dry firing your firearm without manually resetting the slide/trigger. What it is actually is an overpriced clicker that in no way replicates your triggers pull. It uses a spring loaded paddle to push the trigger bar forward, nothing at all to do with the striker. The 1st pull releases the striker and you're left with this milquetoast trigger pull thats just the trigger bar being pushed forward. If this was a $30 "training tool" maybe. At $100 you and I are being had.

Like the other reviewer mentioned, this magazine is basically a "clicker". There's a spring steel shim inside that makes the clicking noise. After 17,000 clicks, it tends to fracture. This causes odd trigger feel and if you use MantisX like I have, it begins to register shots sporadically. I had my first Dry Fire Mag repaired under warranty because the clicker steel split in half and the top plastic lever (the one that contacts the Glock trigger bar) wore a huge groove. Once I got the repaired mag back, I went back to practicing. Around 17,000 rounds, MantisX would only pick up some shots so I played around with the set-screw and used a heavier coil spring (from their trigger spring pack) to help the reset feel better. Then at 20,000 rounds the spring steel shim gave away and completely fractured. Keep in mind I practice about 100-200 shots a day, every day. This mag only lasts 3-6 months with regular use. I contacted the manufacturer to see if they'd sell just the steel shim plates but they just skirt the question. The trigger feel is not even close to being realistic. The lowest trigger pull I can get with their lightest coil spring is like 4.5 lb but the reset is spotty and it doesn't work right in MantisX. The heavier springs like 5-7 lb work better but there's a lot of resistance before a "click" that feels nothing like the real trigger. It's great for practice with MantisX but only lasts about 17,000 shots which is 3-5 months of daily training.
