  • Holds 15 (20 or 30 round) 223/5.56 AR15 magazines.
  • Designed to hold 20 or 30 round 223/5.56 AR15 magazines in precut foam padding
  • Stackable design and triple padlock tabbed for security
  • The slots were designed for the Magpul PMAG 30 AR/M4 magazines without dust covers. Dust covers are not needed in an O-ring sealed can.
  • Will hold only 6 Magpul PMAG 30 AR/M4 with Ranger Plates & dust covers on. They don’t fit under the handle indentation on the lid when closed.
  • Designed to fit 30 round mags and nothing bigger. Not designed for 308 AR’s.

Great Ammo Can. I can store 19 30 round Magpul M2/M3 mags easily.
I am able to store 19 30 round Magpul M2/M2 securely; no rattle. It will fit the Daniel Defense 32 round mags in about half of the holes and still be able to close.

Ok ammo can
Metal magazines are very loose fitting, one side great fit for polymer magazines, other side a little loose. I expect a better fit from MTM.

GREAT execution, poor design
I have spent a small fortune on MTM storage solutions and am 110% satisfied. MTM cases also protect my amateur radio equipment, electronics, power tools, emergency vehicle supplies, hand tools, and just about everything else I need to keep safe and organized, including large amounts of AK magazines. Unfortunately, this concept just doesn't make sense. In it's version without foam (the "ACR-7-18"), this box is excellent. I can fit about 30 round AK surplus steel magazines in the box. They are not well protected from each other, but it works and is a good use of space. I wish there was a way to offer some protection to my magazines in the box, but in an at least SOMEWHAT efficient use of space. In contrast to the attached picture, showing the same boxes without foam, one holding 28 AR mags and the other holding 23 AK mags, this product, with foam insert, holds less than 25% of the magazines per box. You would have to fill an entire truck cab with these boxes just for a single day on the range. 900 cubic inches of space for 7 mags (210 rounds)? C'mon, guys, there's got to be a better way.
