What is the HARRIS - S-L Bipod Sling Swivel Mount 9-13" Black?

Mounts to QD swivel studs on bolt action and single-shot rifles for ultimate field accuracy. Won't change zero; added weight steadies gun. Spring-loaded, telescoping legs adjust quickly, fold parallel to barrel for carrying. Series 1A2 bipods have solid base and do not swivel or rotate. Series S bipods rotate 45° for instant leveling on uneven ground. Buffer springs and adjustable tension on hinged base help eliminate tremor. All Models available in either Series. All Adapters fit either Series bipods. Not recommended for lever actions.


SPECS: Aluminum and high carbon steel, anodized, black finish. Adjustment height range is from resting surface to center of bore. Height is noted in chart below.

Model L: For bench or prone.

Perfect accessory ...
Lives on a new Bergara HMR Premier bolt action jn 6.5mm PRC with a Horus TREMOR3 scope, used for long-range PRS competition and occasional hunting. Have only had the rifle & scope for 3 months but the combo with the Harris tripod is outstanding. Rock solid, easy to adjust, light weight. Everything I hope for. Will update review after hunting season.

Product stands by its name.
The product was very easy to install. it only took me a minute or two to attach to my DSC picatinny rail bipod adapter. this was my very first time ever time attaching a bipod and I'll have to say if I can do it then anybody can. I attached the harris bipod to my Springfield M1A with a Archangel stock and I have to say it looks great. I have not had the chance to go to the range just yet but I have friends with the same product model and tell me great things about it. Looking forward to it.

Classic & still one of the best
Still a great tripod, esp for the $. I have several other, more expensive brands, tactical, and yes they are sturdy. The Harris is still the benchmark, and the cheaper ones that look similar--- don't bother. The plain legs vs notches allow really fine adjustments & are a tiny bit more stable, my .02. this has everything you need, and nothing you don't. You can attach bipod & still use your sling. I use the tanks's knob and carry a spare on long varmint shooting road trips...

The class of the field in Bi-Pods
These are durable and easy to use. They have rubber feet which may or may not be a long term advantage. Many military bi-pods ( like H&K) use steel feet that may be better in sand or other soft environments. In addition, the Harris has exposed springs that may be subject to sand, dirt and corrosion. However, for most US shooters, these are the best available and have adapters for many types of rifles.
