What is the HARRIS - S-BRM Bipod Sling Swivel Mount 6-9" Black?

Mounts to QD swivel studs on bolt action and single-shot rifles for ultimate field accuracy. Won't change zero; added weight steadies gun. Spring-loaded, telescoping legs adjust quickly, fold parallel to barrel for carrying. Series 1A2 bipods have solid base and do not swivel or rotate. Series S bipods rotate 45° for instant leveling on uneven ground. Buffer springs and adjustable tension on hinged base help eliminate tremor. All Models available in either Series. All Adapters fit either Series bipods. Not recommended for lever actions.


SPECS: Aluminum and high carbon steel, anodized, black finish. Adjustment height range is from resting surface to center of bore. Height is noted in chart below.

BRM has equally spaced height adjusting notches.

Excellent Bipod
Installed and ready to use in minutes after pulling it out of the box. Solid construction and IMO great spring tension control on arms. No play at all once fitted to a precision rifle to get consistent grouping of my shots.

1a2 BRM and SBRM
Purchased an Armalite SPR, M15 A4 flat top. I put a 6 inch rail with GG&G bipod adapter(purchased from Brownells) on the orginal handguards. I added the Harris 1a2BRM 6/9 bipod. There was a small cant using this bipod causing the scope to looked canted. Returned and purchased the SBRM; problem solved. IMHO always spend the extra few bucks for the swivel feature.

Good investment for your AR-15/M16
By far, aside from a bayonet, one of the best things you can put on the end of your AR-15/M16. If you are using a 20" rifle, you don't need a flashlight, and likely won't need a laser either. With iron sights or a nice scope, this little item assists you in making that long shot. And the tilting feature allows me to level out of a slightly uneven surface. A wise investment that doesn't deviate too far from the K.I.S.S. rule.

Very solid, well made, stable bipod for
Using it on a Marlin 795. Snapped right on in seconds. Like the extension ease and the solid base it provides. Adds a certain utility to this small but accurate weapon. Does not add significant weight and allows easy carry, quick set up. I have not discerned any problems. This piece of equipment mounts easily. Dismounts just as simply. It is worth its price. Stabilizes this old hunter's target shooting and the ground squirrels are in definite hazard on the ranch.
