What is the AREA 419 - ARCALOCK Arca Swiss Clamp and Barricade Stop Kit?

This kit includes the Area 419 Arcalock Clamp and the Barricade Stop. The clamp features a proprietary two-stage design. The clamping screw features two different thread pitches. The clamp directly bolts to Atlas Bipods using factory hardware.

  • Clamp and knob machined in house from 6061-T6 Aluminum
  • Screw is turned from 303 Stainless Steel
  • Type III Hardcoat Black anodized clamp and Gold anodized knob

Clamp is backwards compatible with standard ARCA rails by removing the two pins and will still work this way to give you infinite sliding adjustment on the ARCALOCK rail. Moving side of clamp is dovetailed on both sides to prevent tilt.

Solid piece of kit
I was looking for a way to mount my existing Atlas CAL bipod to an Arca-Swiss rail and this did the trick. Its two parts, so you dont need to install the barricade stop if you choose not to, but youll have to bring your hex wrench and, perhaps, shorter screws with you if you choose to swap that out in the field. The clamp locks up right on an Arca rail with the knob (no tools to move or replace to bipod on the rifle). Mounting this with the Pod-Loc on my bipod was no problem, so long as the Pod-Loc and barricade stop are facing opposite directions. (Why would they not be?)

Doesn't fit Atlas CAL bipods
Excellent quality product, BUT, requires an extra part (spigot mount) from Area 419 if you want to combine this with the Atlas CAL model bipods (the pod loc on the CAL models sticks out farther than the barricade stop).

Great product
Works on most Arca rails, but does not lock up tight with the MPA Spigot Mount with RAT Dovetail plate. Unfortunately this makes it useless for my application.
