Spray Nozzels
If you use Aluma-hyde II please keep some of these on hand. Nozzles get clogged and must be replaced.

Always good to have on hand
When you're doing refinishing it's always smart to have extra spray nozzles on hand. Allumahyde can be unforgiving, And for the low cost I just pick up an extra bag of nozzles.

Alumahyde II is great stuff!
I've been Using Alumahyde 2 for about 4 years now. I have coated many firearms and accessories for myself and friends. Mainly aluminum and polymer. I see a lot of people complaining about the nozzles clogging up. I've never had one clog. When you are done using the Alumahyde, turn the can upside down and spray it until only the clear compressed air comes out. Then wipe off the nozzle. I've also found that if you bake the aluminum part you coated @ 250 for 5 hours, after it cools it's pretty darn tough. I still wait 14 days for it to cure fully before any assembly. The parts I've baked have turned out way better. For polymer parts, use a heat gun and do a thin coat, repeat that 3 times (do not put in the oven). After one week the polymer part is good to go. I've coated a few pmags to match the FDE that I used for my 308. I put a pmag 25 for my 308 in the pics. The gray 556 is my wife's. I haven't decided what to do with the unfinished one yet. The 308 turned out sweet. I coated the handguard, radian Raptor-LT wings, bcm grip and the hogue stock. I used the Semi Gloss black on the barrel and muzzle brake. Follow the instructions and you shouldn't have any problems.

Replacement Spray Nozzles
Do yourself a favor and purchase a bag of these when you purchase any of the Brownells spray coatings. The one that comes with the can is good for one use only. I've tried cleaning them with spray brake cleaner with no luck. Your only resort is a new nozzle. Shaking the can for at least 5 minutes seems to help too. Once the can pukes out the little spits and spats it seems to spray a lot better, so be ready for that.
