Will you re add this product??
Do you forsee adding this out of stock item to your catalog again? I had one some time ago and found it to be an excellent tool which saved a great deal of time. I was hoping to add it to my tool collection again as I restart my business. I am a disabled veteran however do find this product was easy to use for the purpose.
Can use a little tweak, then A+
The first pad I ever attempted, I taped the stock and ground it while on the stock. Once was enough for that method. Buggered the finish in one spot, and of course it was stained birch and difficult to match the touch-up. Bought one of these for the next job, and been smooth sailing since. I did quickly run into the problem with the fixed hole spacing. My quick and dirty solution was to cut the aluminum block in half, which of course makes the spacing variable, and it works fine that way.
What a time saver!
Once I drilled out the hole in the swivel so the hanger hook fit through I had it made. This product does what it claims, SAVES TIME. I've fit 4 pads with it so far and it really is a "Why didn't I think of this."
Not universal
The makers of this product say that it is universal, but it is not. Most recoil pads for shotguns and rifles do not line up with the wholes and had i known before i would have used a friends mill and made my own.
