The Brownells 1911 Slide File is a must have item for any pistol smith. Clean up and square slide rails with one side of this file, turn it over and deburr or enlarge the rail channels with the other. This specially ground, stepped file does the job of two or more separate files. the safe edges make sure that only the areas that need to be cut, get cut.

Just right file for the job
Excellent file. This is the 3rd one I've owned. Gotten a few dozen builds out of each file . Be sure to get a fine bristled file card, these fine cut teeth are a little fussy to clean, but that is the deal with all very fine cut files. I use a little machinist file chalk on all my files. Really helps with keeping them clean
