1911 slide measuring tool
This tool really helps when fitting 1911 slide to frame. Typically, you can only measure the slide's groove from the back-end of the slide with calipers and hope the rest of the length of the slide has the same dimension. With this tool, you lock it down and move it the whole length of the slide to ensure uniform width, then you know what your frame-rail width should be. One thing I wish it could do was to have the flip side be the width of the space inside the slide to do the same thing, but that is accessible with calipers the length of the slide anyway.

This tool works great to get a good tight slide to frame fit. I bought one as s gift for a good friend of mine and buying another one for me.
