What is the BROWNELLS - AR-15/M16 LOWER RECEIVER VISE BLOCK?

AR-15/M16 ACTION BLOCK SET

Heavy-duty blocks allow you to firmly clamp AR-15/M16 receiver halves in a vise without risk of crushing, twisting, or otherwise distorting them when applying vise pressure or torquing the barrel nut. Keeps your rifle secure for safe, effective cleaning, assembly, and repair. Unbreakable urethane vise block takes all the clamping force, so your expensive lower receiver won’t be damaged or distorted. Insert block into the magazine housing from the top or bottom, then clamp the other end in your bench vise. The magazine catch locks to the block, safely and securely holding the rifle for assembly, disassembly, cleaning, or repair. Will not mar or scratch the finish. Fits tightly in most receivers and may require filing to fit others.

If you like sanding, this is the block for you…….
It was not until I started watching SOTAR videos I realized there was so much variance in "mil spec". I sanded this block down to fit one Aero M4E1. It fit snug but was a tad looser on another Aero M4E1. Just know there is a lot of variance in lower receivers. Do not regret, as it still works for intended purpose after modification for my specific scenario.

If you purchase this lower receiver vise block you won't regret it! Although there are cheaper versions out there, none match the quality of Brownells lower receiver vise block. It is offered here at a very competative price. This block also enables you to check your newly installed magazine release on your current build immediately after installation, and also comes with Brownells lifetime warranty! I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase! Made me grin like a Chesire cat! LOL!
