What is the TACTICOOL22 - M&P 15-22 Barrel Nut Wrench?

The lugs are designed to fit snuggly, with minimum movement, to keep the nut from getting damaged. The inside of the wrench will fit over most standard A1 and A2 flash hiders, as well as Yankee Hill and others. The outside of the wrench fits nicely inside the stock handguard. There are two wrench flats for a 15/16 open end wrench or crows foot wrench, if you want to use a torque wrench. This is the Professional/Gunsmith version of the barrel nut wrench for the Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22. You will get many years of trouble free use from this barrel nut wrench. This wrench will fit over most standard diameter muzzle devices, such as the A2 birdcage, but the barrel nut and handguard end cap will not. Therefore, you have to remove the muzzle device to remove the barrel nut and barrel. Simple, step-by-step instructions are included. Machined from the highest quality U.S. aluminum stock available. Designed, developed, and manufactured in the USA.

Worked Perfectly
This wrench worked perfectly without issue… Allows for handguard removal as well as barrel access and removal…
Would you recommend this? Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Sturdy and well cut
This is not a complex tool - and it can easily be made in most shops. Unfortunately, my mill is down and time was not available, so I purchased. You will not be disappointed in the tools quality or durability, just that you had to spend the money on something that could be made by you.

Works as advertised...Almost
This wrench slips over the barrel inside most handguards and is designed to engage the barrel nut. However, the wrench lugs are a fraction larger than the barrel nuts so they don't mesh up. Being aluminum, a couple of taps from a hammer was all it took to make the wrench engage the nuts enough to unscrew them. Or the lugs can be ground just enough to make them fit. So it does work, but not at first glance.
