Worked great!

I had to shorten a sling stud a little and this worked great!

What a GREAT idea !!!

It is one of those things that I did not know existed. I now wonder how I ever got along without it. I salute you !!!

Great for thread identification

I am a beginning gunsmith and got my first scope to mount. Took old scope and mounts off, and wanted to be sure about putting the correct screw in the hole without doing so first. I had to work screws into the jig to get them to go fully through (something hanging up screws on 2 of 3 holes) from either direction. Validated screw size and thread count for existing mount holes.

Better value than the Gizzie

If you have the drills and taps you can make this for yourself. It works and is not as pricy as the screw holder gizzie. Better feel in the hand than the gizzie but it is thicker than the gizzie. I don't regret adding this to my tools.
