Why you want these
Fine workmanship and quality product. Use it not only working on Rifles (M1As. M-14s and others), you can bet they're always on the bench when I'm reloading my accuracy ammo for Hi-power and PALMA matches. Love the things.

Let down
120A stainless steel dial calipers, American made. When I got them they came with no instructions on maintenance, zeroing, whether to put a drop of Starrett oil on them once a year. They also came with a plastic dial and a few other flimsy feeling plastic parts for stainless steel, premium dial calipers. I have been to L.S. Starrett's HQ in Athol once in 2019 to bring in a vintage Starrett micrometer for calibration and they were great. I have read Starrett got bought out by some company. I have other Starrett tools and they are of high quality but made at least ten years back. Come on Starrett, for the price you ask let's get rid of the flimsy feeling plastic parts on stainless steel dial calipers. Again, no instructions on the box on zeroing, maintenance..get real. The case they came with is also a really tight, poor fit.
