Very solid workbench mat
Great size on the large. I did not notice any weird or strong odors, unlike the other review. I have a bunch of the neoprene "mouse pad" type tekmat, but this one is a smooth dense rubber-like mat that is grippy but not sticky or tacky. Very happy with this...

Excellent size for leverguns and AR's.
I bought the large mat after seeing the quality of the small mat. It has all the same qualities except in a larger version. In fact, I actually trimmed my mat to fit the way I needed it on my reloading bench. I trimmed it down to 19.5" tall and used the trimmed piece on the length to fill in the gap. Excellent size for leverguns and AR's. It is still in great shape even after 3 years.

The Only Bench Mat to Get!
Once again a quality product from Brownells. This is a real rubber mat, not foam. It lays flat, its thick and durable, and cleans up easy.

Works well to avoid scratches but smells
Mine does have a weird smell that it came with as one of the other reviews mentioned, but it's not so bad that I can't store the mat in a closet to hide the smell. Part of the problem is that the rubber is porous and soaks up oil and grime from the cleaning process. After several months of using it to clean pistols and rifles, there is visible grime and noticeable smell from CLP runoff. I am going to replace it with a plastic mat that can be wiped down. Wiping down this mat does not remove the grime because it is spongy.

Good Mat Bad Smell
The mat that I received has a very strong obnoxious odor. It gave our family of three headaches. I have had it draped over a railing outside for about a week and I still cannot bring it indoors. It is almost like the chemicals used to make the mat material have not yet cured. I am hoping to be able to use it in another week or two.
