MUZZLE FACING/CROWNING CUTTER DRILL CHUCK ADAPTER


Steel, double-ended adapter lets you use Brownells piloted Facing, Crowning and Chamfering Cutters with your drill press or electric drill motor to save valuable shop time and get a smooth, chatter-free, finish cut. Adapter accepts all Brownells ¼'-20 threaded shaft cutters; converts them for easy insertion into any 3/8' or larger drill chuck.

Did exactly what it was intended to do. My rifle had started expanding from its original.5 MOA avg, with a new crown from the 79 degree cutter, I shot five groups averaging just under .5 MOA!

Excellent Tool Adapter
Good design and well made to adapt 1/4-20 threaded cutter (or other tool) to drill or even a collet handle. Flats allow wrench use if needed.

Read previous reviews...
I'll rate it two stars just because I didn't actually try and use it. Foremost, thanks for the previous reviews and saving me $. Secondly why didn't Brownell's just machine the chuckable shank right onto the end of the precision machined muzzle tools? Lastly, just go to your hardware store and buy a 1/4-20 coupler but and chuck that up on the end. Its its not true Chuck just the but end into the drill chuck and run it down onto a chamfer bit or big drill bit tip. It might also help to run it onto sandpaper or something to square up the end first. I've had good luck with this method in the past.

I read the previous review and thought "Well could have been just a bad one". For $10 I thought I'd try it. The previous comment is absolutely true. This thing is useless. Don't waste the $10.
