Introduction

Hey folks, Caleb here with Brownells for another Quick Tip. Today, we’re walking through the installation of the Apex Action Enhancement Kit for slim frame Glocks, specifically the Glock 43, 43X, and 48. This kit’s a game-changer for improving your trigger pull.

Inside this kit, you get the Apex Action Enhancement Trigger, a Trigger Bar, and a Performance Connector. These are drop-in parts, so no gunsmithing or fitting is required.

Disassembling the firearm and removing the old parts

Before we start, safety first. Make sure your firearm is unloaded. Check the chamber, check the magazine well, and set the mag aside. Let’s get to it.

First, you’ll need to disassemble your Glock. Remove the slide, barrel, and recoil spring. We’re working with the frame today. You’ll need a punch tool for this job—3/32-inch works great.

Removing the trigger and connector

Let’s remove the factory trigger assembly. Start by pushing out the trigger pin . Use your punch and tap gently. Once it’s out, the trigger housing and trigger assembly will come free.

Installing the new Apex trigger assembly

With the factory trigger out, you’ll see the trigger bar and connector. The Apex kit replaces these components. Take the Apex Trigger Bar and slide it into place where the factory one was. It’s designed to fit perfectly.

Next, install the Apex Performance Connector. Pop out the factory connector by pushing it out from the frame [demonstrates with tool]. Slide the Apex connector in until it clicks. It’s that simple.

Now for the star of the show—the Apex Action Enhancement Trigger. Attach it to the trigger bar. You’ll notice it’s pre-assembled with a center-mounted pivoting safety, maintaining all factory safety values. Snap it into the trigger housing.

Reassambly

Reassemble by sliding the trigger assembly back into the frame. Line up the holes and reinsert the trigger pin. Give it a light tap to secure it. Double-check everything’s seated properly.

That’s it for installation! This kit gives you a smoother pull, reduced trigger travel, and a crisp break at about 4.5 pounds. The reset’s short and tactile, perfect for faster follow-up shots.

Before you hit the range, do a function check. Reassemble your Glock, rack the slide, and dry-fire a few times. Ensure the trigger resets and the safety engages properly.

Conclusion

The Apex Action Enhancement Kit is an easy upgrade for your Glock 43, 43X, or 48. It’s reliable, improves performance, and keeps safety first. Grab yours at Brownells.com, and let us know how it works for you.
