What is the REDDING - Ultramag Reloading Press?
REDDING ULTRAMAG RELOADING PRESS

The UltraMag is the heavy duty workhorse of the Redding line, and is a no-nonsense high quality press. It is our favorite for large jobs and highly recommend it for the reloader needing a large frame press. The leverage system on this press (unlike most others) is connected to the top of the press frame which gives it literally tons of pressure without the usual concerns of press frame deflection or misalignment. This is an expensive press, but one we feel is worth the money, especially for long magnum cartridges.

Built like a precision tank!
This is the third Redding press I've had over the years, and while I've liked them all, the Ultramag is my favorite. In particular, the opening has plenty of height for any cartridge I'll ever reload, and the leverage is great. All the tolerances are extremely tight, and there is no ram slop at all. Redding makes great reloading equipment, and this press is no exception.
Would you recommend this? Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Smooth and very strong press
I recently changed from an O type press to the Redding Ultramag. I began wildcatting and sometimes felt that I needed a stronger press for forming brass. The Ultramag is definitely strong and smooth!

Powerful and Accurate!!
I had to chuckle a bit at Jp's remark. He's not really wrong because I had the same experience the first time I used it. Just once. I adjusted to the press. That being said, no commercially manufactured press has the compound leverage that this BEAST has!! I size 338 Lapua, 300 RUM, 300 Weatherby and 375H&H with it. I had some '06 ( recovered range brass)cartridges last year that would not chamber in my 03A3 after full length resizing, trimming cleaning and loading. I bought a body die and used this press to reform them. Perfect chambering! Wonderfully smooth operation. I visited a friends handloading set-up in the back of his shop about seven years ago. He had three presses set up, 650 Dillon XL, an ancient Rockchucker and the Redding UltraMag. He used this press for all his wildcat forming operations and magnum cartridge sizing. I got mine along with the T-7 less than a year later. Excellent choice!!!

It's a beast!
I have loved all of the products I've purchased from Redding so far. This press is smooth and tough as nails. Monster leverage. Brownells has become my first stop for ordering. Almost always the best price, and super fast, inexpensive shipping! I'm a little depressed that I received the ONE press out of probably a thousand, that has a flaw in the casting. Chunk missing out of the top. It's enough to send a guy with OCD to the psych ward.

Great
Great press sizing brass is a lot easier than with the rock chucker and reloading longer ammo like the 45-70 338 norma mag is a lot easier with the open front.
