A die set for more than AR's
I bought this set because my old RCBS .223 full length die set with its roll crimp feature was causing my cases to bulge at the shoulder and make chambering impossible. And this would happen with even a small degree of crimp into a cannelure after bullet seating. So this Small Base set with it's taper crimp feature solved this problem 100%. Sizing is a bit more effort than my old sizing die, but that's ok with me.
Great AR Die set
Had a small base RCBS die set prior to this set- Seating die on this set does a taper crimp vs a roll crimp. Had used Lee FCD in the past but this new die set works fine for seating & crimping in one shot. Decap & resizing works without issue - Seat & Crimp works great in my progressive press as well. Would be nice to have a fine tuner on the seating die but with minimal fuss I'm within .001 all the time. ~2000 rounds loaded so far and no issues - good product.
Problem Solver
Had chambering issues with two AR's while using another trusted brand of dies. These dies have solved the problem, no more chambering issues in my AR's.
