LEE PRECISION - Quick Change Drum Set

Thank you Lee, for making the auto drum powder measure and these spare drums. These replacement drums are ABSOLUTE TIME SAVERS and cheap to boot. I can have one set up for just about everything I load, and all I have to do is swap drums, and in a few seconds, Im throwing my exact load I have written on the drum. No more resetting the measure for EVERY powder and load you do. $17 and youre ready for 4 more loads to be set in stone. Some folks say the auto drum leaks with finer powders, but honestly I havent really seen any leakage to complain about. A couple flakes here and there, no big deal. Maybe they just have a bad drum and need to replace it. But I havent had a issue yet to complain about. The Lee auto drum with the powder thru dies are the greatest thing since sliced bread. I still check every other case to make sure things are still set, and to my amazement theyre ALWAYS on point. But still a good habit to have, better safe than sorry. I have too much invested in my firearms and body parts, to take any chances. Great job Lee you knocked it out the park again. American made, with American quality.

Was a bit leery about them being plastic but, figured for the price, I'd give them a try. Was pleasantly surprised and now I have a separate drum for my 3 basic pistol calibers plus .223 and use the original drum for all my large caliber rifle loads. No more screwing it from 60gr down to 4gr and up to 20gr etc. They throw consistent loads and don't leak even fine grain powder, which was my main worry being plastic.

You get two small and two large drums. The large drums can be converted to small drums, but not the other way. I load a lot of pistol, so that works for me.

I have used 3 so far. With fine powder, like 231 or CFE pistol, they leak a bit. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Works good out of the box but a little sanding on the drums makes them better and helps with not wearing out the wiper near as fast. Doesn't leak powder now. Sand the drums at the same angle with 400 grit sandpaper. You can sand by hand or chuck the drum in a drill/driver using a paint stir stick as an example with sandpaper wrapped around the paint stick.
