What is the LEE PRECISION - Deluxe Perfect Powder Measure?

The Lee Deluxe Perfect Powder Measure features a high pressure die cast diamond-machined body. The precision-machined rotor drum is cast from brass, which is naturally antistatic and spark proof. Eliminates Cut Powder and Jerky Action A soft elastomer wiper strikes off the metering chamber rather than cut the powder. You’ll be surprised at how smoothly the rotor operates. More importantly, you will enjoy the most uniform of charges. Easy to Set and Read Micrometer Metering Chamber Powder charge adjustment is accomplished with a true micrometer adjustable metering chamber. The metering chamber is aluminum with a black anodized finish. Features a crisp, permanent, laser engraved scale. The brass micrometer thimble is engraved with .01cc graduations and has a releasable detent lock. With most rifle powders each click is about a 1/10 of a grain, perfect for working up a load. Changing Powder is Fast and Easy Features easily removable hopper with an on/off valve so you can quickly return unused powder to its original container or switch to another type. The hopper feeds to a pre-measuring chamber allowing precise charges regardless of the powder level in the hopper, eliminates the need for an extra powder baffle.

Perfect Throws!
I shoot SASS Cowboy Action and load over 1K rounds a month to shoot in weekend matches. I use a low charge of Trail Boss which is a very bulky powder and good for low velocity cowboy loads. I was getting inconsistent throw weights with my other powder dispensers so on recommendation from a Pard I tried the Lee Perfect Powder Measure and it is very accurate with Trail Boss in low (minimum) charge weights. I tested 20 throws and was off by only 0.1 grains, which is much better than I was getting. I give it high marks for consistency and accuracy. I even adapted it to my Hornady LNL AP so I can progressively load, although powder dispensing adds a manual step.

Very repeatable!
Very repeatable. Out of 5 throws maybe 1 is .1gn off! Much more efficient than using the yellow powder measures. I have run Unique, 2400, Bullseye and Titegroup without issues. I have a RCBS powder measure installed on a RCBS Pro2000 and considered purchasing all the components to make it a stand alone but in the end it wasnt worth the effort. This is by far a much more functionally refined product. The quality and workmanship are excellent. Setting the output is easy. Having a valve on the powder reservoir is a major plus when its time to remove the powder. Very satisfied with the product and would/have recommended to others.

New powder hopper is worthless
The new powder hopper the Lee is now shipping with these powder measures is worthless! It is the same bottle that they ship with the APP press.... you can not put incorrect throws back in the hopper! Why they ever decided to do this I have no idea. You have to spend another $12 to get the old style hopper with a removable lid. Brownells really should have updated the picture and discription so that people know what they are getting!

Not what i expected
First 100 rds = 5 avalanch !!!!.To make a long story short i found the problem. The inside of the drop tube had tool marks and sharp edge exit hole. Out came the DREMEL AND POLISHED THE INSIDE AND PUT A RADIUS ON THE DROP HOLE.Now it works fiine but creeps a little.Have to use the scale for every charge because i do not trust it. A little flimsy and no cap on bottom of hopper. Thank you Paul C
