What is the BERGER BULLETS - MATCH TARGET 22 CALIBER (0.224') FLAT BASE BULLETS?

Berger Flat Base Target Bullets are often used by competitive benchrest shooters who seek the highest accuracy possible. Flat Base Target Bullets are often used out to mid-range distances of 300 yards or more where a boat tail is not applicable. Berger Flat Base Target bullets are match-grade quality and utilize a tangent ogive bullet design which makes these very easy to load, tune and shoot. Highly accurate, the Flat Base Target uses J4 Precision bullet jackets for construction. J4 Precision Jackets have a Total Indicated Runout (TIR) of +/- .0001 and extremely tight manufacturing tolerances.

70 grain Berger VLD -Outstanding bullet!
This has simply been the best bullet I have found for my Savage Model 12 (1:9 twist). This bullet over 24 grains of H-4895 has given me 5 shot groups of around 1 inch at 300 yds! The flyers on the target were due to my aging eyes. Dimensions and weight are super consistent so I don't sort these bullets. A little pricey but an excellent bullet!

Super Accuracy
These are by far the most accurate bullets I've ever reloaded for my varmint grade 22-250. They are as consistent from lot to lot as I have ever seen. After a year of testing the best .224 cal. bullets available, this is the only one I use. The gun is based on a Remington 700 , set up by Hart with a 26" SS barrel, 2 OZ. Jewell trigger, Leupold 30 mm 8.5x25x50 LR tactical scope with Mark IV base and rings, so it's a capable platform for testing loads and getting the best out of them. The norm is 5 to 10 shot 0.25" groups-no problem!
