45 Colt Brass. Originally designed for use with blackpowder, the .45 Colt is one of the most powerful, commonly available handgun cartridges when loaded with smokeless powder. Starline .45 Colt brass has been tested to .44 Magnum pressures in gun systems suitable for such loads. *New brass may require neck sizing for use with .452" and smaller bullets.

Consistent
I found the cases to be of consistent length. So much so that I didn't need to trim, chamfer, or deburr them before loading. That was a first for me. I did have to full-length size them. I noticed that Starline added to the description of these cases that they are built to the same strength standards as 44 magnum brass. That means that I can work up heavy hunting loads for my rifles.
