What is the LAPUA - 30-06 Springfield Brass 100/Box?

LAPUA 30-06 SPRINGFIELD RIFLE BRASS

The venerable .30-06 Springfield case offers an even greater powder capacity than the .308 Winchester case, but the Lapua quality remains the same. Like its smaller stable mate, the .30-06 Springfield brass has the same durable construction and incredible precision, allowing for many, many reloadings. The 30-06 Springfield brass is popular for large game hunting applications as well as mid-range rifle target shooting competitions.

The 30-06 Springfield case has the Large Rifle Primer pocket (LRP). It is available in the new cardboard 100 pcs Lapua brass box. The brand new case box has been designed to keep Lapua brass in pristine condition during shipping, ensuring that your reloading experience is on the best level.

Expensive, but worth it.
Like all Lapua brass, this brass cost more than other brands, but is worth it. I run all new brass through a sizing die to make sure the necks are concentric as they can bend sometimes in shipping. Otherwise, this brass is ready to go without any prep work required. Lapua brass lasts longer than Winchester brass, so the initial cost is spread out over more loads and actually is not that much different. If the shoulder is only set back 0.0015" - 0.003" max each sizing and not pushed to the extreme pressure limits, this brass can easily last for more than 10 loadings. fwiw - as the walls are thicker, the internal capacity is smaller and requires about 1.0 grain reduction of loads compared to Winchester brass.

Yes, it is worth the price
The precision of the neck wall and diameter seem more consistent than I can measure and they are consistent between lots. I haven't been neck sizing them when new and the last batch I didn't weight sort and I still had some groups less than 1/4" MOA at 200 yards. The shipping box that converts into a 50 round "case" is kind of hokey but it does work. I don't have enough reloadings of them to determine the case life.
