What is the FORSTER - Original Case Trimmer?

ORIGINAL CASE TRIMMER

The Forster Case Trimmer is one of the most versatile reloading tools available on the market today. It utilizes an extremely accurate Brown and Sharpe type collet to hold the case. Pilots are used to support the case neck during case trimming. A collet and pilot are needed to operate this trimmer and are sold separately. Trimmer can be used for case length trimming, hollow pointing, neck turning, inside neck reaming, case mouth deburring, and primer pocket reaming (removes military crimps). The trimmer can be powered by a drill or power screwdriver by adding the Forster Power Adapter (749002184). Requires Forster Trimmer Cutter w/Shaft 17 cal for use with .17 cal Pilot.

Forster case trimmer
I bought my first Forster trimmer about 40 years ago. It’s worked so well that when I decided to get a 2nd I bought another. It works great also.

Great quality, easy to use!
I bought used about 25 years ago. It was perfect and very easy to use. I sold all my reloading gear when I went back to school. I missed reloading, so when I started purchasing items I decided to get the Forester case trimmer again... Nothing has changed. It is still is easy to use, super precise, and reasonably fast. You can't go wrong with this trimmer. Highly recommended!

This is a great case trimmer. It takes a little time to make the fine adjustment with the set screw however once it is set for the shell you want to trim it functions flawlessly. Average Joe review gives this product a buy recommendation. You won't be disappointed!!

I've had this for 2 years and still glad I bought it. Used for .223 and .243 rifle and .38 special, .357 mag and .45 handgun.

Reliability
These trimers have been around since the beginning of time itself...This alone says loads about the product..If it wasnt any good then it would have been long gone... Although this trimmer is capeable of all triming tasks I use mine solely to trim my necks with the neck turning attachment. I have trimed thousands of necks and the cutter has not lost its edge. Triming is very easy all-be-it at a steady pace but this step is best done correctly as a lot depends on it in the way of accuracy. I would like to see a slight modification made that allows the user to stop reaching over to turn the cam as all controls are on one side.
