Replaced broken spring
Used this to replace a broken spring. Had to stone mainspring housing to get this spring to fit. Had to adjust grip safety leaf for proper operation.

Heavier Trigger Pull
I bought this spring for a spare a few years ago. Little did I know my Kimber SIS 5" original sear spring's middle leaf completely broke off while shooting (at ~27,000 rounds). I installed this W-C spring and immediately noticed a much heavier trigger pull. ~A dozen bends of the middle leaf brought the pull down from ~7 pounds to 5.75 pounds. This was still a bit heavier than I wanted after shooting my Kimber with ~4.2 pound pull for ~12 years. I'll keep this spring for a spare, but I've since replaced it with another brand's spring (item#206000065) which immediately gave me a 4+ pound pull.

Do NOT purchase if you own a Para P14.45
I bought this to replace my oem spring in my Para Ordnance P14.45. It is a really great part, don't get me wrong, it just doesn't fit my gun. The description from Brownells states that it will work in most Para frames so I purchased it. What was happening was, when the firearm was fired a fews times, I would hear an audible click. The slide would go back after each fire and then stick. I would have to remove the mainspring housing while the slide was locked back to pull the spring back off the sear. What happens is the disconnector would fall BEHIND the middle leaf on the spring and compress the trigger. In other words, the middle leaf is too short. I checked it next to my oem spring and according to my eyes, is about a centimeter too short. I placed my oem spring back in and had no problems. Item is a well made item though. Can definitely tell it is not a cheap metal being used.
