Takes a Mark II from good to really good
I maintain several stainless Mark IIs for our gun club's pistol class. This trigger has greatly improved student scores. This upgrade allows us to greatly improve student success without modifying hammer notch/sear, for liability reasons. Tip: sometimes it's necessary to file a small amount of metal off the back of the trigger where the trigger joins the trigger pivot block, or the trigger can't trip the sear. Better to do this instead of opening the trigger window in the frame. No big deal to make this adjustment. Every Ruger should have this trigger.
Definitely loctite your set screws
You will want to use blue loctite on your pretravel and overtravel screws for sure. The screws in the stainless triggers move much more freely than on the black version, though I use loctite on either one regardless. I've never used one of these without the accompanying VQ parts, but even if this was all you did to a MK series trigger, the adjustments would make it worth buying. Even with a heavier pulling factory hammer/sear, being able to reduce the massive pre-travel and having the overtravel stop is worth what you pay for this trigger. Installation for this piece alone is elementary. Find a YouTube video and you're good to go.
New stock will fit a MKIV
All of the new stock VQ MK series triggers are the same trigger anymore. The older MKII/III had a squared off design, but the same geometry. The newer ones are rounded on the upper corners, and fit all of the MK series pistols. This is labeled as MKII/MKIII, but I knew if I received an older one, I could just remove material in a certain spot and it would work. The one I received on 4/14/19 was in new VQ packaging, and fits and works just fine in my MKIV 22/45. Like someone else said, the set screws are kind of a pain to get to once its in the gun. Remember on the overtravel screws, the long one is the Standard frame and the short one is the 22/45 frame. Normally comes with the long screw in the trigger and the short one in the bag. Put your loctite on before you install, and run your overtravel a couple of turns up into the trigger first to prevent having to make several short turns with the allen wrench after its already in there. On the pre-travel, same thing. Back it out before installing, loctite the screw, then screw it up into the trigger a bit past flush. Install, then do your final tuning. Blue loctite will still be wet during that time frame. The next day, it should be good to go, and your screws won't move. I've used them in both kits, as well as piecing together kits. Great addition. I prefer them over the Tandemkross Victory triggers, because the Victorys move your reach out further than my liking. Might work better for one with long fingers/larger hands, but not for me.
VOLQUARTSEN MK322/45 Trigger
I purchased the Ruger 3903 22/45 a month ago, great gun, but it came with one major factory flaw (the mag. disconnect), and one minor flaw the trigger. The trigger had way too much trvel in it, and the pounage was a bit high, so I order this trigger, and handed over to my son AJ. To my surprise he had it changed out, the bushing put in for the disconnect problem, and every thing polished up in no time. He gave me my gun back, and it was like a whole new gun, what a differance in the trigger travel, and even less poundage too boot. The gun is more accurate because of the good crisp trigger, without a good trigger your done for, and the VOLQUARTSEN deffinetly did as promised. Tom

High quality fit and finish. My only gripe is there aren't any instructions on the proper way to adjust the trigger. None with the product or on the company's web site. I wasn't too hard to figure out though. My original trigger pull was a creepy 4&1/4Lbs, this trigger and their replacement sear brought it down to 1&3/4Lbs. very crisp and no creep!
Works very well.
This trigger did a very nice job of transforming my MKIII into a real tack driver. I installed it with the Volquartsen sear and a Majestic Arms 3.2 Speed Strip kit. The trigger feel after the conversion is very good. Volquartsen must be listening because my trigger came with two lengths of overtravel screw. The Volquartsen installation videos on YouTube are not useful, but there are some very good videos to guide you through the installation. I highly recommend this upgrade to your Mark series Ruger.
Works like a dream
Trigger works great ,looks good. But the set screw on the stop ( the one right behind your trigger finger is to short needs to be .312 long 8-32 by .312 long )
Nice touch for Mark III
The set screw on the back of the trigger is to short ,, needs to be about .070 longer. Other than that its really good . I would buy it again .
