MRO 1X25MM 2.0 RED DOT REFLEX SIGHT Reviews & Ratings

I bought the MRO for a .300 Blackout pistol. I used a Samson Evolution Rail to keep the weight down because Im mounting an OSS suppressor on the pistol. The MRO is tough, rugged and very sharp optically. The battery life is outstanding. It is waterproof and night vision compatible. There is a blue tint that is slightly bothersome but I prefer this to the Aimpoint and it is American made. My pistol fits the same niche as the MP5SD and is similarly sized but much more lethal.

As the title states this is now the second MRO I've bought. I sold my Aimpoint Pro and replaced it with my MRO. Half the size and weight, larger view. I highly recommend.

I read many reviews on the MRO and took negative comments to heart before I saw the passion of the majority that loved and bragged on it. My age and eyes compelled me to try red dot sights years ago and I have been using the Bushnell TRS-25 for years with good results. This MRO is like after eye surgery when you are astounded over the clarity difference. The lens seems non existent and combined with the superior field of view it works with superior performance. I do not see negative problems others have complained about and think Aimpoint and others will be playing catch-up for years copying the larger field of view superiority in Trijicons MRO. One happy camper here !

At work, I use an issued T2. At home, I have an MRO. I bought the MRO instead of the Aimpoint because of the price difference alone. Lo and behold, I actually prefer the MRO. Quality is top notch, but that is to be expected. The wider field of view makes the dot easier to acquire, whereas with the Aimpoint, there is less room for error when aligning your eye behind the scope (depending on how consistent your presentation is, the Aimpoint's dot can get "lost" when bringing the rifle up). This is far less likely to happen with the MRO. The review about the lens being cross threaded is inaccurate. The glass is supposed to be like that. It's the same on the Aimpoints.

I purchased this 9 months ago and could not be happier! Optic is clear and dot is crisp. I mounted on my 50 Beowulf. So far it has held it's zero. No complaints. I will order another one for other builds.

Adjustment knob is on the top, strange that many others haven't thought of doing the same. Also, it's cheaper and just as good if not more so than Aimpoint's T1/2.

Great red dot at least so far. But the downside is the mount and red dot package doesnt come with any screws to actually attatch the red dot to the mount?? Not sure if thats standard from Brownells or Trijicon or if its simply an oversight from one or the other

I really wanted to like this MRO. It had great reviews and appeared well made when I received it but time on the range proved me wrong. I tried to Zero the MRO on my rifle and got multiple tight groups all over the place. Every adjustment moved the groups but I could never get it to Zero. Then I went back to Brownell's website and checked the other reviews of the MRO which mentioned cross threaded front lens issues. Sure enough when I examined mine closely it was also badly cross threaded. Trijicon needs to get its quality control together or it won't be selling many more of these things. For me, I'm looking for another sight by another manufacturer

I was excited to try the MRO but noticed something before I mounted to the rifle, I was seeing a double image and that suggests I had an optic with a slight magnification in the lens somewhere. Almost every review you watch or read is essentially glowing remarks and I sincerely don't like saying this but in my experience it simply isn't worth it. Did I get hold of a dud, that's absolutely possible, was it my eyes, again that's possible but I've never had any issues with other top of the line RDS optics. By all means if anyone wants to try an MRO then go for it, I do love other Trijicon optics and I truly hope you have better luck than I.

I could not be more disappointed with the MRO and it has really shaken my confidence in Trijicon as company. I can only assume that these sights are being manufactured with very little quality control. It was apparent that the sight was defective as soon as I opened the case it arrived in. The objective lens was severely cross-threaded into the housing as the attached pictures will demonstrate. I was also under the impression that the housing was forged, but it looks more like a conventional casting, with very rough and unfinished casting/sprue lines running around the entire housing. Hopefully this is not an indicator of the quality we can expect from Trijicon going forward but, for now, I think I'll pick up an Aimpoint optic instead.
