Timney crushed it with this trigger. As other people have stated in the past, the stock Rem 600 trigger was between 5-8 pounds, and ground as you pulled it back. There is almost no comparison between the old and new trigger. I have never shot a nice trigger before, but have read enough to know how important it is. The most clear thing I can share is that the scope crosshairs don't move at all at 100 yds during the trigger pull, vs trying to settle a bucking bronc on the old one. I had my Timney set at 2lbs, and I use mine primarily for hunting. I wouldn't recommend any lower, and I'd even say you could get yours set at 2.5 and it'd still probably be perfect. There is zero creep. Also, this trigger design leave the trigger much straighter than the original, which is an excellent improvement. In the photo, the left trigger is Timney, the right is stock. If you are curious about whether this Rem 600 trigger is single or double-stage, it is SINGLE STAGE. I hard a hard time finding that exact answer before I bought mine since some of this info is shared with the Rem 700 trigger. Making a little room in the stock for the safety was initially a reason I almost didn't buy this trigger. However, using a dremel, it was a complete non-issue in hindsight. I wish I could share how much my groups shrunk with this trigger install, but I modded my barrel at the same time I installed the trigger, so I don't have an apples-to-apples comparison to pass along. Lastly, I'd like to say I've never dealt with a company like Timney. They are at the top of the food chain for company culture, and execution for their customers. I won't say any more than that, you'll just have to become a customer to experience it for yourself.

Purchased the Timney to replace the Remington factory trigger for the model 660. There was a recall on the factory trigger many years ago, however Remington is no longer repairing this trigger assembly. Installing this trigger was a piece of cake. Knock out two pins, remove old trigger assemble & replace with Timney. Depending on your stock, you may have to file off a little wood to keep the new safety from rubbing on the stock.

I bought the Timney trigger for my Remington 600 because the safety blocks the trigger and not the sear. The Remington 600 is well known for accidental discharge; even though this trigger unit has had the updated sear installed, I still did not trust it. The Timney unit fits perfectly and required only slight inletting of my guns stock for the safety lever.

Easy to install. I had to remove a bit of material from the stock in the safety area. It was easy and did not require a great deal of time. I did not adjust the trigger but left it at 4 lb pull. I would have rated the product as a 5 if it were not necessary to remove material from the stock safety area.

Why did Timney put such huge dog leg safety lever on this trigger? Makes for stock disfiguring. Sad.
