MEC Press
Finally!!! A press that doesn't spill primers everywhere. Just finished full length sizing 800+ pcs of 5.56 range brass and not a single loose primer on the bench or the floor. The simple catch tray design to contain the spent primers works perfectly. Very well designed & well built heavy duty cast iron press that will no doubt last me the rest of my days. The MEC mounting stand is a must have. This is the best single stage press on the market,in my opinion.

Excellent press
A friend of mine purchased a single stage press from a company over in Germany that is operated by ball bearings. This press is as smooth as that thousand dollar press that my friend purchased from Germany. Very pleased would recommend a single stage press to anyone who wants perfect accuracy with their loads and sizing.

Well Designed and Constructed
The Marksman has three features that give it an edge over most other single stage presses. The front is open for easy vision and access. The shell holder floats for alignment, and the primers are channeled into a tray underneath so that there is no dirt or spent primers near the work area. This is a solid press with cast iron construction. Several accessories are available. The short handle makes fast work of bullet seating or sizing smaller cases. I am not likely to go back to my "O" frame press anytime soon.

MEC Marksman Press
I like this new press. It's a lot smoother in operation than the Rock Chucker it replaces. The first things I did after mounting the press was oil the ram & then resize a bunch of 7.62x51 NATO brass with crimped primers. I ran through that brass without a hiccup. Even though I had no trouble resizing that GI brass & punching out their primers, I think the handle could be a couple of inches longer for increased leverage. The little primer tray caught every primer. It's simple, but effective. The press is a sturdy piece of equipment. Looks like a winner to me.

Solid and accurate.
It's very solid and good quality. Very pleased with it.

Great Press
The press is very well built, the hollow ram for deprimming is a great feature, the floating shell holder works great for alignment but takes a bit of getting used to, because the shell holder can spin. The ram moves smooth and easy and has plenty of leverage. Overall the press works great.

Best press I've ever used!!!!!
Having 3 Lyman, 2 Redding Boss, and one Dillon 550b all in operation -- I've been loading for 50+ years -- I was faced with a concentricity challenge in .221 Fireball loading. I purchased this press, and concentricity dropped from .004"-.006" down to LESS than .0015" in 200 rounds just loaded! The action is butter-smooth -- best of any other press I've used -- and any "slop" in its ram is immeasurable to my dial indicators. Lastly -- the design is such that there is more than enough room for fingers and vision -- whether loading teeny cases, or fairly large ones! That one cannot prime (moot for me -- I use an RCBS tool) on this press should be noted; and, while they have an ingenious through-ram disposal for decapped primers while, say, sizing -- they have a plastic tray provided to balance beneath the press to catch them.

Great press! 6 stars, if I could
Great press. Nice open design. Designed and built with concentricity and stiffness in mind. This thing is capable of amazing cartridge precision. Need to use more to confirm effect on target. Pro tip: Buy the LNL conversin for easy die change out.

Great Press!
I was either going to buy this for the Forster Co-ax and since the Co-ax has been out of stock and I didn't want to wait, I really only had one choice. I'm glad I bought this press! Do yourself a favor if you purchase this and also buy Hornady's Lock-n-Load Press Conversion kit with the bushings. It makes swapping dies an easy task. I love the floating shell holder design as it's supposed to self align with dies and that seems to be working well. Also, it's very easy to spin the shell holder 90 degrees if you seat your bullets twice (by rotating the case 90 degrees the 2nd time). The ram feels like glass because its so smooth and the primer ejection seems to work really well. Some presses I've tried get the residue all over the ram after time and its abrasive stuff so it harms the press but I haven't really noticed residue from de-priming. Quality is rugged and a great construction. Lots of open area around the ram! There are a couple minor negatives. First I received this press with some surface rust on the threads where the die's are inserted and on the threads of the press handle. No biggy, but it was a pain to scrub this stuff out of the threads. Second, large primers seem to get stuck in the primer chute (someone mentioned this too in a review) but easy fix is taking pliers and carefully opening up the gap where the primers fall into the pan. It took about a minute to fix this. So even though there are a couple negatives, they are very small compared to how great this press is!
