Incredible
The last one I had ran for twenty four hour periods several times a week for two decades. This one I expect to leave in my will to my grandson the shooter.
very good value for the money
This new unit I bought replaced another same unit that I have used for right at 30 years. The motor finally seized up. But there were many 10s of thousands of cases that last one cleaned. This new one works perfect. And it is made in the USA. I have never tried any other brand but I highly recommend Lyman 1200. And then I got a new motor assembly for the original one from Lyman for a very fair price which allowed me to double my processing volume. Jacky was great to deal with and extremely helpful. Thank you Lyman.
great compact tumbler
It comes with switch on/off . I use it with 9mm(350) and 45ACP (200) easy to use and not noisy.
Geat Tumbler
I am a big fan of Lyman tumblers and their hand-loading manuals. Also use their primer pocket cleaners often. This is a great tumbler for a great price.
Works great!
When I got this tumbler I thought it would not hold enough rounds at a time, I was wrong. And it works really quick, depending on the cases. I had some cases that had been wet and then stored by someone and were in ugly shape. 3 hours in the tumbler with walnut shell and they looked brand new. I have had the tumbler going everyday for several hours a day and run scores of loads through it and all look great and the tumbler just keeps taking more. Very quite compared to others I have heard and no movement on the base at all. Highly recommend it to anyone that is reloading at a medium number of rounds a month. Great product!
Does the job
The fact that the tumbler is made in the USA is a big plus. Does a great job of cleaning cases. It does make a bit of noise but that serves to remind me that I have cases being cleaned. Lack of an on/off switch is not a problem, one less thing to break.
Great tumbler, stop whining - no switch
This replaced a 15+ year old non Lyman tumbler that is now out of production. I didn't buy it here and spent $20 more than I would have had I gotten this one at Brownells. Yup, no cord switch. Cost $3.50 at the hardware store to get AC switch, double outlet and box. Mounted, wired in garage, problem solved. The big advantage of this model is that my old bowls (3) fit this tumbler perfectly. It is quiet and does a great job on brass. Like I said, stop whining about the switch and make one.
Works great!
Just ordered this tumbler to replace my 15 year old RCBS tumbler that finally bit the bullet... I would have rated this Lyman 1200 Pro at 5 stars if it had some sort of on/off switch - it begins running when you plug it in... doesn't really matter though, just a minor annoyance. When mine arrived, I dumped in some corn cob media, added a couple capfuls of NuFinish car polish, dropped in about 125 .223 cases and let her run... I checked them after one hour, and the cases are gorgeous... This tumbler is faster than my old RCBS, and also, MUCH quieter! This tumbler isn't annoying to run in the house at all. I barely hear it over other appliances (mine is set in the kitchen floor, my shop is being remodeled).
Lymann 1200 tubler
Not a bad unit. -1 star because it has no on/off switch. -1 more star because it doesn't effectively clean the insides and primer pockets. It's not the quietest piece of equipment you'll own... I use it to polish cases AFTER passing them through a turbo sonic cleaner.
Lyman Pro 1200 Tumbler
It was missing the lid so I could not use it, The first thing I see when I opened the box the inspection card saying Rosa & Maria have passed the item as okay to ship. I had to call & explain then had to ship it back, so disappointed , plus I shipped the bad one back and it was received and I still don’t have a tumbler, So Disappointed everyone I talked to so nice and polite but I still don’t have a tumbler or the money just DISAPOINTED
