SINCLAIR PREPARATION POWER CENTER

The Sinclair Power Center will significantly reduce the number of hours spent on case preparation and give you more time to spend shooting and in the field. The Sinclair Power center turns case preparation for a hand numbing chore into a fairly easy operation. Cases are prepared uniformly and quickly with much less effort.

The Sinclair Power Center compact and features a quiet, low RPM motor with enough torgue to handle turning thick case necks while not overheating from continuous use. Other motorized case prep units are underpowered, noisy, turned at too high rpm's, overheat quickly and/or have exposed wiring or capacitators.

The Sinclair Power Center is built around a small but powerful motor attached to a gearhead that turns at 200 rpm and has a torque rating of 43 inch pounds. The motor we selected is more powerful than actually needed, but we didn't want a motor that was under powered. The motor and gearhead are completely enclosed in a vented housing so no capacitors or wires are exposed. Top mounted heavy-duty on/off switch is ergonomically positioned, which is especially important for neck turning operations that require frequent motor stops for unloading/loading the case. The motor and motor housing are all mounted on a large platform that provides plenty of clamping surface area. Heavy-duty power cord (6 feet) is equipped with a grounded plug.

The Power Center shaft is equipped with a 3/8 inch capacity keyless chuck so it will accept nearly every case prep tool we offer. Common uses include primer pocket uniforming, flash hole deburring, inside case neck cleaning, chamfering and deburring, and neck turning. For neck turning operations, we highly recommend using our Sinclair Case Drivers in the chuck to hold the cases securely.

Quality and Well Designed

This item is perfect for my case prepping where I turn necks, uniform primer pockets, flash holes and chamfer inside and outside of necks. The combination of torque and RPM provided makes all operations more efficient in terms of less time and provides additional consistency of cutting. Perfect for neck turning where you don't want the motor to bog down or stall and also the control of rpm and torque does not cause unwanted mistakes with a cutter jamming and damaging the case neck. I really like this unit and recommend it to anyone who does a lot of neck turning and case prep.

Extremely functional

I've had this unit for a few years. It can do many things with regards to case preparation, however it really excels at a few things...neck turning being one. I just finished neck turning over 1100 .308 win brass so my power centre got a huge workout! It performed the extended task flawlessly! It's like a small precise lathe with the proper chuck. It's somewhat expensive for what it does...but it does those tasks very well. I just found out something interesting with the power centre that I am planning to test further. With brass chucked into the unit and it rotating, case concentricity really shows up very clearly. I did some brass sorting based on what I saw, so will see if it makes a difference in ammo accuracy. If it works, it's a hell of a lot faster than using a special tool to measure case run out. More to come...

Just what I needed.

I got mine this morning. I put it to work right away neck turning converted 6x47mm Lapua cases. I noticed right away how quiet it is, a bonus. I then decided to see how it would work trimming with my Little Crow WFT's. They recommend 1250-2500 rpm, but the 2oo rpm of this unit did a good job. I was using cordless drills and cordless drivers but the back and forth, bringing up and putting down of the tools took a toll on my shoulder and fingers. Having to stop and wait to recharge them is now eliminated too. I have been looking at this for some time, the cost put me off at first. Last week my arthritis got in the way of my neck turning. Things are speeding up now, and discomfort... nil.

This thing is awesome!

This thing is great. Lots of torque for things like neck turning and primer pocket uniforming. Much easier on the hands than trying to use a drill motor or electric screwdriver. I predict many hours of use in the future.

Solid Unit

Well built and heavy duty. High priced but I guess it is true, you get what you pay for.
